Núria the hygienist spent fifty minutes on me and showed me on the screen exactly where I keep missing with the brush. I have been going to dentists for forty years and nobody had done that before.

Good work, but there is only one treatment room and you feel it. My 09:30 slot started at 10:05 because the patient before me needed longer, and nobody really apologised, they just said it happens. The veneer itself, done by Dra. Ferrer, matches the neighbouring tooth better than the one I had made in Bern.

Marta Comas is the reason this worked at all. She sent the treatment plan in German, told me exactly which papers my Swiss insurance would want, and when my return flight was cancelled she rearranged the whole week in one phone call.

Six veneers with Dra. Ferrer over two trips, March and June. She scanned my teeth instead of the paste in the mouth, which I was very glad about. The temporary set was already close and on the final ones I would change nothing. 4,200 EUR in total. In Basel I was quoted 13,000 CHF and told to come back in October.

Three stars, and I want to be fair about why. The dentistry was fine — a crown on an upper molar, it fits, no pain. But I had to come a third time because the shade was too light, and travelling from Stuttgart for a twenty minute appointment is not cheap. They did not charge me for the remake and Marta helped me move the flight, so it is not bad faith. Three trips was simply not what we discussed.
